What the beta is

  • It is a closed beta: by invitation only.
  • It is free while it lasts. We charge nothing. If it ever starts to cost money, we will tell you first and nothing will be charged until you choose a plan.
  • Your access is personal and can’t be transferred.
  • You must be 18 or over and use it for your professional activity.
  • Features change and things can break. There are usage limits, to curb abuse.

The service is run by Christian Martín, creator of Pardelina (a private individual). Contact: hola@pardelina.com.

Lina is an AI

Lina chats, researches the internet, drives its own browser on a computer in the cloud (it can sign in to websites with the accounts you trust it with), schedules routines and reminders, keeps a memory, uses skills from a catalogue that we review, and can launch agents for long tasks.

It is an artificial intelligence and it can make mistakes. Always check what matters. Lina is not professional advice: it doesn’t give you legal, tax, medical or financial advice.

Before anything important, it asks for your yes: sending something, paying, signing in to an account, deleting, publishing. You are responsible for what you approve.

If you use Lina with other people’s data, for example your clients, see the section on data processing.

Acceptable use

Use Lina with common sense. You may not use it for:

  • anything illegal;
  • sending spam;
  • attacking or overloading other people’s websites or services;
  • getting around the terms of other websites or services, or asking it to;
  • harming other people.

Respect the terms of the websites you ask it to sign in to.

We may suspend an account that abuses the service. We will give notice when we can.

Your data is yours

We don’t train models on what you do with Lina and we don’t look into your Lina without your permission. Full details are in the privacy policy.

Third-party accounts you trust it with

If you give Lina an account on another website or service, you authorise it to use that account on your behalf. What it does with it, within what you approve, is as if you had done it yourself.

Internet search

Read this before accepting

When Lina searches the internet, what it searches for (the words of the search and a sentence about what it is looking for) goes to Parallel Web Systems, Inc., in the USA. It does not receive your conversations.

During the beta we use their standard account while we close an enterprise contract with zero retention. Until then, their terms allow them to keep what is sent to them and use it to improve their service, and we have no data transfer clauses with them.

That is why Lina avoids putting personal data in its searches, and why we ask you not to have it search for personal data about yourself or other people.

By accepting these terms you expressly accept that what Lina searches for goes to Parallel in the USA on those terms.

When we have the contract, we will change this here and let you know.

If you put your clients’ data in: data processing

If you put personal data of other people into Lina, for example your clients, you are the controller of that data and Pardelina is your processor. This is what we commit to doing, under Article 28 of the GDPR:

  • Only to give you the service. We process that data only so that Lina works and following your instructions, which are what you ask Lina to do.
  • Confidentiality. Anyone on the team who may have access is bound to secrecy. And nobody goes into your Lina without your permission.
  • Security. Each customer has their own isolated Lina, backups are encrypted and access is only with your permission.
  • Sub-processors. They are the ones listed in the privacy policy. We will tell you before adding others.
  • These people’s rights. If someone asks you for access to their data, to correct it or to delete it, we help you deal with it.
  • Security breaches. If one affects your data, we tell you without undue delay.
  • When it ends. We delete the data on the schedule in the privacy policy, or return it to you if you ask.
  • Compliance. We will give you the information needed to show that we comply with all this.

The Parallel notice (above) applies here too: don’t ask Lina to search for other people’s personal data.

It is a beta

Pardelina changes fast. Something may stop working, change or disappear.

We make backups every night, but we don’t guarantee that nothing will be lost. Keep a separate copy of anything you can’t afford to lose.

Usage limits may change.

Your feedback

Thank you for telling us what you think: it helps a lot. We may use your ideas and comments to improve Pardelina without owing you anything for it.

Ending

You can leave whenever you like. To delete your account, write to hola@pardelina.com.

We may end the beta or your access with 15 days’ notice, unless there is abuse. If you ask, we will give you your data.

What happens to your data afterwards is in the privacy policy.

Liability

The beta is provided as it is and is free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or for what you approve Lina to do.

Nothing here limits rights that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.

Changes to the terms

If we change them, we will email you.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Spanish law.
